Speeding in the village is a source of constant concern to residents and featured significantly in the responses to the Parish Plan, as well as in regular comments to Councillors from the public. Gosfield has an active Community Speedwatch group, run by volunteers and co-ordinated by Megan Bishop. The group are out usually once a week in various locations around the village and have been active since April 2011. The group have now recorded and passed on to the police over 400 drivers breaking the speed limit through our village, or on mobile phones.

We have a committed group of volunteers now, but are always looking for more! If you could spare any time to assist making the load easier, please contact Ian Thurston on 474858 or Harry Bines on 475768f or more information.
