LDF Allocations Update

Further to the Parish Councils' deliberations on proposed extensions to the village envelope in January and February this year (click here for details), Braintree District Council has now completed it's consultation on  proposed development sites in the district as part of the Local Development Framework policy. This is a consultation that will develop a planning strategy for the district until 2026.

During this consultation, landowners/site promoters/agents could submit additional sites or proposed amendments to the development boundary which they wanted to put forward to the Council for consideration. Several proposed sites have been put forward in Gosfield and have been given the reference numbers GOS8X 10 New Road, GOS9X r/o 13-14 Park Cottages, GOS10X former Shell depot Hedingham Road, GOS11X Gosfield Airfield as well as the proposed amendments to site GOS5HAlt
The representations at the attached links are all the information that has been submitted to BDC as part of the consultation.

Please take the time to examine the locations proposed. The Parish Council have asked for an extension to the consultation period so that these sites can be discussed at the Parish Council meeting on the 20th May.
